While the first night of the festival featured traditional performances from the likes of Thunderpussy, Brandi Carlile and McCready’s own project Infinite Color and Sound, the second night played host to a monster jam featuring McCready, Carlile, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer and drummer Chad Smith.
As well as performing a number of Led Zeppelin tracks, including ‘Babe I’m Gonna Leave You’, ‘Good Times Bad Times’ and ‘Dazed and Confused’, the supergroup jammed on Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’, ‘Sweet Emotion’ by Aerosmith, Queen and David Bowie’s ‘Under Pressure’ and the Van Halen shred-fest ‘Eruption.’ Check out footage of the alt-rock heroes kicking out the jams below – imagine being lucky enough to see this in the flesh.
