WATCH: A 15 Piece Orchestra Cover Daft Punk’s ‘Harder, Better, Faster Stronger’

The 15 piece Radio Dance Orchestra of Ehrenfeld, Germany, performed their interpretation of the Daft Punk classic to huge applause last week on late night television. As the piece carries onwards, the orchestra’s re-imagination of the piece takes a series of interesting turns as the orchestra switches up the tempo and structure of the song, with a few extra embellishments being thrown in to assert the virtuosity of each instrumentalist.

In other Daft Punk news, Australian electronic outfit Parcels can add themselves to a list of collaborators including Kanye West, The Weeknd and Nile Rodgers, recently enlisting the assistance of the group to co-write and produce their new single ‘Overnight.’

Conceived this year in a secret location in France, ‘Overnight’ offers a perfect balance of Parcels’ lush electro vibes paired with Daft Punk’s signature sound, acting as the Byron-based groups first offering since the release of their EP Hideout in January and appearances at Falls Festival.

‘Overnight’ by Parcels is out now on Daft Trax/Kitsune Musique.
