The World Needs A Hero (2001) and The System Has Failed (2004) have both been remastered by Ted Jensen, previously responsible for Guns N’ Roses, Bring Me The Horizon and Green Day hits. The World Needs A Hero features live bonus track ‘Coming Home’ while The System Has Failed has live bonus tracks ‘Time/Use The Man’ and ‘Conjuring’.
The World Needs A Hero and The System Has Failed have not been on vinyl for 18 and 15 years respectively, while both have been out of print on CD for five years.
2019 is also slated to be the year that Megadeth finally follow up 2016’s Dystopia, as vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine recently tweeted the band were working on new music. Megadeth also have a breathless touring schedule, as they set out on the very first thrash metal Megacruise with Anthrax and others, as well as supporting Ozzy Osborne on his run of North American shows.
Megadeth’s reissues are available on Friday February 15 via BMG on CD, LP and digital platforms. Preorders are open now via Megadeth’s official site.
