‘Threat of Joy’ is the bands first appearance together since 2013’s ‘All The Time’ (which was just old footage stitched together). The blissfully smooth and relaxing tune is accompanied by the band performance, delivering their almost signature clean-indie riffs and low-mono vocals.
Directed by Warren Fu, who is notable for working with acts such as Daft Punk, Snoop Dogg, Haim and Weezer, the video portrays the band in the midst of a playfully yet weird story, with underlying messages and subplots.
The Strokes will be gracing us with their presence in July for Splendour in the Grass as well as a sold out show at North Byron Parklands.
