Written by Prince for the group he assembled called The Family, ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ eventually found deserving fame when it was recorded and released in 1990 by Sinéad O’Connor.
The release of the original recording was accompanied by never-before-seen footage from Prince & The Revolution rehearsals in 1984, showing Prince and his band practising choreography during one of the biggest years of his career – the year he released his phenomenal LP Purple Rain.
