Cut from the pulsating energy of live performance and their minimal approach to live sound, the new album was well and truly fleshed out before it reached the studio, where Plague Vendor limited takes and overdubs to a minimum.
Co-produced with Sikes and mixed by Alan Moulder, Bloodsweat upholds the less is more sensibility that has been a grounding principle in punk rock since its inception. It’s the unrelenting stream of live shows, in everywhere from backyards to clubs and festivals, pressed, clear as day, onto a record.
