Holy Holy announce new album My Own Pool Of Light

The album, which is slated for release on Friday July 12 through Wonderlick Recordings, aims to represent Holy Holy in their purest and most sonically adventurous form to date. My Own Pool of Light sees instrumental mastermind Oscar Dawson and songwriter-in-chief Timothy Carroll embark on incorporating sounds, concepts and lyrical ideas largely explored in their previous works without sacrificing their original charm and studio chemistry.

Described as “the biggest creative leap of their career,” My Own Pool of Light is also the first project from Holy Holy to feature the input and influence of other artists, including Ali Barter, Ainslie Wills and Japanese Wallpaper, the latter of whom performs keyboards on various tracks on the record. While Dawson himself produced a great majority of the record, Grammy-nominated engineer Andrei Eremin also stepped in to assist in the production stages, resulting in an immersive, sonically diverse statement of a record. Frontman Timothy Carroll affirmed the group’s confidence in a statement released today, saying that “We always want to make music that’s exciting and interesting, and that makes you feel something, and takes risks. This is the album we wanted to make.”

If that’s not enough Holy Holy news for you, the lads have also released a visual for their stellar new single ‘Teach Me About Dying,’ directed by the artistic TImothy Lovett, which you can watch below.

Given the direction of the first two singles, we can’t wait to hear what Holy Holy have in store with My Own Pool of Light – stay tuned to hear more from one of the best bands in Australia in the near future.
