George Harrison tribute concert to be released on vinyl

Concert For George features performances from Tom Petty, Eric Clapton, Ravi Shankar, and former Beatle bandmates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, covering tracks from Harrison’s extensive catalogue from classics like ‘Here Comes The Sun’ and ‘Something’ to solo gems such as ‘All Things Must Pass’.

The concert will be available in a variety of different packages and formats, the most exclusive and deluxe edition of which is a box set including four LPs, two CDs, two Blu-Ray DVDs, and a 60 page 12″ x 12″ hardcover book. The package also includes a cutting of fabric from the original hand-pained tapestry used as the backdrop from the Royal Albert Hall concert, in addition to a letter from Olivia Harrison alluding to the fabric’s origins. The package is housed in a gold-coloured, fabric-wrapped box with a mandala window to display the unique stage fabric. The exclusive box set is only limited to 1000 pieces worldwide.

Alongside the vinyl format, the release of the concert will also be available as a two-CD and two-DVD combo in both standard and Blu-Ray versions. Plus, an interview segment featuring Ringo Starr, Jim Keltner and Ray Cooper, entitled “Drummers“, will feature as an exclusive addition to the Blu-Ray version.

For those who prefer a portable, digital audio experience, Concert For George will also be made newly available on all major streaming platforms, with the same track listing as that of the vinyl.
