Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible marks the band’s sixth full length studio release, with Enter Shikari embellishing their trademark sound with dense socio-political themes and brazen twists and turns to make one hell of a record. The new record was produced by the band’s own Rou Reynolds, who claimed to have been inspired to create Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible while the group were in the process of writing their book Dear Future Historians.
Reynolds elaborated on the direction of the record in a statement accompanying today’s announcement, saying that “Looking at all we had achieved, gave us a better sense of perspective and confidence……. What are we capable of? What is possible? These questions are part of Shikari’s DNA. But now we reflect a society where possibility itself has drifted from something of optimistic opportunity to something quite frightening.”
Enter Shikari have also released the lead single from Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible, the raucous, anthemic and genre-defying ‘The Dreamer’s Hotel’. If this track’s anything to go off, this record’s gonna be an absolute stomper. Suss it out below – we can’t wait for this.
Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible arrives via So Recordings on Friday April 17.
