The song marks her first official release with Liberation Music and was produced by Pascal Gabriel (Goldfrapp, Ladyhawke). It’s another compelling musical moment from the artist that brought us breakthrough hit ‘Jungle’, and subsequent debut LP Vs Head Vs Heart.
Emma explains the sentiment behind ‘Underflow’, stating, “I wrote underflow about that feeling that swells up inside of you when you know that things in your life are about to change. It’s like an undercurrent that at first you ignore… Then the change comes, and everything is new and different”.
The multi-talented artist also created the single artwork, determined for it to reflect her artistic vision and integrity. With the cover’s protagonist bald, she later shaved her own head in the making of the soon to be released video.
And in more great news, Emma has completed the writing and recording process for her second album, with the final product due for release in early 2016.
