Anthrax announce State of Euphoria 30th anniversary deluxe edition

Compiled by drummer and longtime preserver of all things Anthrax Charlie Benante, the State of Euphoria: 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition is set to feature two discs, with the first being loaded with a fully remastered copy of the album, all of its original B-Sides, and a live version of ‘Antisocial’ recorded at London’s Hammersmith Odeon in March 1989. Disc Two, titled “Charlie’s Archives”, features an assortment of rehearsal and writing sessions stashed away by the drummer, giving Anthrax fans a never-before-seen insight into the creation of the band’s thrash opus.

“We recorded everything back then,” said Benante. “We would sit in the rehearsal room with a little two-track machine record everything we did in rehearsal while we were putting the songs together.”

The 30th anniversary edition of State of Euphoria is also set to feature an assortment of rare Anthrax posters, press shots and magazine covers from 1988/89, as well as a 20-page booklet featuring liner notes written by former Metal Hammer editor-in-chief Alexander Milas. The album is available as both a double CD, standard heavyweight black vinyl and a limited edition red and yellow coloured vinyl for diehard fans.
