The Abbey Road Super Deluxe reissue is set to feature all of the album’s original 17 tracks newly mixed by Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell in stereo, hi-res stereo, 5.1 surround and Dolby Atmos, as well as 23 session recordings and demos, many of which have remained previously unreleased till now.
The Super Deluxe Box Set is set to offer all formats across four discs, housed in a slip-sleeved 12″/12″ 100 page hardbound book with a foreword from Paul McCartney. The book also features chapters written by Beatles historian Kevin Howlett diving into the context of the Abbey Road sessions, providing a track-by-track analysis, session notes, the cover art photo shoot and an essay by David Hepworth analysing the longstanding influence of the classic LP.
Furthermore, the book is set to feature rare and unpublished photos of the band – many taken by Linda McCartney – as well as handwritten lyrics, sketches, tape boxes, reproduced original print ads, recording sheets and even a score by George Martin. Formats include a three-LP or two-CD Deluxe Edition, a one-CD or one-LP Anniversary Edition or a one-LP Picture Disc.
