Mayer EMI releases VibesConnect for Vibes MD850 SynthStation

Words by Mixdown Staff

VibesConnect is a browser-based interface that massively expands what the Vibes MD850 SynthStation can do.

Rolling out from 15 October 2025, VibesConnect will hook the SynthStation directly to your computer or tablet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. There’s no need for drivers or USB cables – just fire up any standard web browser and you’re good to go.

Catch up on all the latest news here.

The interface gives you control over the Clip Launcher, along with the ability to create and edit sequences without dealing with tiny screens. File exchange becomes straightforward too, essentially transforming the device into what Mayer EMI calls “DAW Mode”, which is a self-contained production and performance tool that marries studio workflows with the freedom of standalone hardware.

Updates pop up directly in the browser and install with the press of a button. Down the track, VibesConnect will open up collaboration features, making it super simple for SynthStation users to swap sounds, performances, and other goodies with each other.

For gigging musicians, this creates a genuinely seamless workflow from bedroom to stage. During studio sessions, you get all the comfort of working on a computer. Live, the Vibes MD850 stays fully standalone and can either slot into your existing rig or anchor a larger setup.

Vibes MD850 SynthStation packs four devices into one box: a four-part multitimbral true stereo synth engine, drum machine, digital mixer, and sequencer/clip launcher. All of it’s now controllable via browser in DAW Mode.

VibesConnect arrives as a free update on 15 October for current Vibes MD850 owners and ships pre-installed on all units from that date forward.
