Martin release new Luxe Kovar strings

Kovar Luxe

Martin’s Luxe Kovar Strings stay lively for longer, while the material itself is naturally low tension so is easier to fret and play than conventional bronze or steel strings.

Good acoustic guitar strings are a bit of a godsend for players, but the materials they’re made of are susceptible to rust and corrosion that affects the liveliness of the tone of the string. Worry no more with the Martin Luxe Kovar strings, acoustic guitar strings made of (naturally corrosion resistant) kovar. Martin have been pushing the boundaries for acoustic guitar for almost 200 years, so it’s no wonder they’re involved in forward-thinking design right down to the feel, playability and construction of the strings on their guitars.

Martin’s Luxe Kovar Strings stay lively for longer, while the material itself is naturally low tension so is easier to fret and play than conventional bronze or steel strings. Tonally, they nestle themselves somewhere between Monel and Phosphor Bronze, providing a balanced response that’s bright enough without being brittle, but warm enough to harness all the body and weight your acoustic guitar has to offer.

Martin Luxe Kovar strings are available in three gauges at the moment, 11-52, 12-54 and 13-56, so they can be fit easily to an existing guitar without compromising intonation or requiring a set up, all with kovar’s low tension, long lasting feel!
