Trevor Horn’s productions shaped the sound of the 80s, used gated verbs, aliasing techniques (some intentional and some not, speaking to limitations of 80s digital equipment), he melded tape techniques from the 70s with the burgeoning digital technology that exploded out of the 80s.
The Jupiter pack from Spitfire Audio includes drums, bass, synths, pianos and effects, operating within Spitfire’s Solar plug-in, allowing users to combine and blend different sounds and samples together. This includes blending sounds from multiple packs, including Spitfire’s previously released Mercury and future Solar releases.
Presets are made up of Core sounds, which can be effected via Reflect, Alias, Calibrate and Dimension controls that adjust the original sounds in a variety of ways, all with commonplace techniques used throughout the 80s. The pack will be available later this week!
