Fender's brand new DAW is designed for on-the-go music making.

These days, more music is being made from bedrooms and tour vans than in million-dollar studios. Fender’s new release is designed for exactly this modern world. Fender Studio, a free recording app available now on iOS, Android, desktop, and tablet, gives creators the ability to record, jam, and mix with professional tools anytime, anywhere.

Developed by the team behind Studio One Pro, Fender Studio puts a streamlined, creator-friendly spin on pro recording. At its core is one-tap recording. Open the app, hit record, and your ideas are captured instantly without the usual setup headaches. From there, the app offers eight multitrack layers for arranging and mixing, plus a library of Fender amp models and effects to sculpt your tone.

For guitarists and bassists, the highlight is the collection of authentic Fender tones, including classics like the ‘65 Twin Reverb, ‘59 Bassman, and Super-Sonic. The app also comes loaded with pedals such as Overdrive, Chorus, Delay, and Reverb, with more amps and effects unlocked when you register a free Fender Connect account.

Musicians can jam along to 20 professionally recorded multitracks spanning everything from pop ballads to heavy metal. Each track can be transposed, muted, or tempo-shifted, letting you remix and reimagine them as practice tools or creative springboards.

On the mixing side, Studio includes a suite of essentials, such as Compression, EQ, Reverb, Delay, Expander, alongside more creative vocal effects like Vocoder, Transformer, and Ring Modulator. Add in tools like global transpose, timestretching, and an integrated tuner, and you’ve got a surprisingly full production package inside a free app.

Pairing the app with the new Fender Link I/O takes the experience even further. The pocket-sized interface offers 24-bit/96kHz audio, latency-free monitoring, and amp-like dynamics, making it a plug-and-play solution for recording guitar or bass directly to your phone, tablet, or computer.

Whether you’re a bedroom producer, content creator, or guitarist looking to capture riffs on the go, Fender Studio makes pro-level recording more accessible than ever, and it won’t cost you a cent.

Fender Studio is available now for free download on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux. Find out more and start jamming here
