The app works in with IK Multimedia’s complete ecosystem and is available for iPhone and iPad users, both as a standalone app or a plugin for mobile DAWs such as GarageBand, Cubasis 3, Auria Pro, and more.

TONEX software uses AI Machine Modeling technology to let you model the sound of any amp, cabinet, combo, or pedal, and turn it into a plugin, all with a sonic accuracy that’s “virtually indistinguishable from the real thing”.

You can instantly play more than 1,000 tone models from rare one-of-a-kind vintage amps to modern rigs already available plus browse, demo, and download the growing number of Tone Models available on TONEX in ToneNET from other users sharing their own signature tone.

IK Multimedia say that the app is also ideal for iRig users, with selected models such as the HD 2, Pro I/O, Pro DUO I/O, and Stomp I/O, as well as the company’s AXE I/O and AXE I/O Solo interfaces, now shipping with a licence for TONEX SE included.

“Enjoy your own signature tone on the go, in the studio, and even live on stage more easily than you ever imagined with endless inspiration,” IK Multimedia says.

“With a full ecosystem of solutions, TONEX combines incredible authenticity, flexibility, and power to massively expand the way you experience tone.”
