On June 18, the Reclink Community Cup will return for its 30th year of sport, music and community.
When it all started in 1993, the Reclink Community Cup charity football match raised $500 for Reclink Australia.
These days, it manages to draw up around $200,000 each year, with 12,000 fans descending upon Melbourne’s Victoria Park to get a piece of the action.

Footy, live music, and beer – name a more Melbourne event, I dare you. Plus, the event is a fundraiser to help those struggling with mental illness, family harm, unemployment, and gambling, alcohol or drug issues find rehabilitation and build community through sport and recreation.
Facing off on the field will be the mighty Megahertz (made up of employees at Triple R and PBS) and the ruthless Road Dogs (made up of Melbourne musicians). The Road Dogs are led by local legend Coach Cash Savage.
As well as the game, there will also be live music performances by some of Melbourne’s favourite musicians.
On the lineup this year? Close Counters, Gut Health, Teeny Tiny Stevies, Our Carlson, The Merindas, Mzrizk and the Cosmic Psychos. It’ll be a halftime show for the ages.
Bring your family, bring your dog, grab a Mood Dog beer and get settled in for a big day in the park.
The Reclink Cup hosts events throughout Australia (although Melbourne’s is the biggest) and it will be taking the show on the road to Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra and Fremantle following the local match in June.
“As the Community Cup has grown, our impact and programs we are able to deliver continues to grow and enable us to improve participants’ physical and mental health and promote social inclusion within the community,” said Reclink Australia CEO Dave Wells.
