Sparkle sparkle!
In what’s likely to be the last big gear release of 2020, Fender have concluded the second volume of their popular Parallel Universe range with the Tele Mágico: a shimmering instrument to help end the manufacturer’s stellar year on a high.
Designed in conjunction with Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Ron Thorn, the Tele Mágico puts a twist on the tried-and-true Cabronita Telecaster to jazz it up a bit for those among us who adore the opulent things in life.
With a resonant book-matched swamp ash body and flame maple neck and fretboard, the Tele Mágico is decked out to the nines in pearloid, which comprises the guitar’s binding, inlays, tuning buttons, pickguard and pickup surrounds.
Two custom-made Fender Gold Foil pickups aim to deliver all the expression and chime you could ever dream of, while the Mágico’s cut three-saddle bridge should ensure the guitar is abundant in that classic Tele twang.
Other appointments on the guitar include the unique V-to-C neck profile for uninhibited chording and single note licks alike, while a simple three-way pickup toggle switch and volume and tone controls offer a streamlined playing experience.
To top it all off, the Fender Parallel Universe Tele Mágico is available in Translucent Daphne Blue and Translucent Surf Green finishes, and comes in a Surf Green Parallel Universe hardshell case.
