The guitar giant rebrands PreSonus Studio One Pro as Fender Studio Pro 8, complete with native amp models and a full range of redesigned interfaces.

Fender has made a significant play in the music production space, announcing the rebrand of PreSonus Studio One Pro as Fender Studio Pro 8 and bringing the entire PreSonus recording interface range under the Fender banner. Fender Studio Pro 8 arrives with native amp models

Studio One Pro has been reborn as Fender Studio Pro 8, retaining all the features that made it a modern production standard while adding native Fender amp and effects plugins, a modernised interface, and streamlined production tools. The headline addition is the inclusion of Mustang and Rumble Native plugins, offering 57 guitar and bass amp models plus hundreds of effects, all exclusive to the Fender Studio app and Fender Studio Pro.

According to Max Gutnik, Chief Product Officer at FMIC, the goal was to enhance Studio One Pro’s celebrated features with Fender’s legacy in tone and musical expression. The result includes an updated visual design, a new channel overview for faster mixing, updated samplers, and AI-powered audio-to-note conversion for transforming recordings into editable MIDI with a single click. Chord Assistant brings intelligent chord technology for creative songwriting, while the new Studio Verb plugin adds immersive spatial effects.

GRAMMY-nominated producer Alissia praised the integration: “Having authentic Fender amps and pedals built straight into the DAW is a game-changer. Fender Studio Pro delivers true analogue warmth with a seamless process.”

Quantum Series and AudioBox Go join the Fender family

The hardware side sees the Quantum and AudioBox Go lines transition to the Fender Quantum Series and Fender AudioBox Go. The Quantum LT Series offers three streamlined, affordable interfaces with MAX-HD microphone preamps delivering 75 dB of gain, Fender-optimised instrument inputs, and loopback routing. The Quantum LT 16 expands with eight combo mic inputs, eight additional TRS line inputs, MIDI I/O, and DC-coupled outputs for synth and modular setups.

For those demanding higher specifications, the Quantum HD Series provides 32-bit/192 kHz converters, ultra-low-latency drivers, and DSP monitor mixing. The HD 2 offers 20 x 24 I/O configuration, while the HD 8 scales to 26 x 30 channels with ADAT expansion for larger sessions.

The compact AudioBox Go rounds out the range as a portable 2×2 USB-C interface with 24-bit/96 kHz converters, a low-noise mic preamp with switchable phantom power, and a dedicated instrument input. Bus-powered and road-ready, it’s designed for musicians and content creators who need professional recording on the move.

Motion Controllers and Fender Studio app updates

Fender’s Motion Controllers put Studio Pro at players’ fingertips with dynamic FATAR pads, illuminated encoders, and expressive touch strips for timeline navigation and session control without breaking focus from performance.

The free Fender Studio 1.2 app update introduces a transmit feature that sends sessions directly to Fender Studio Pro 8, plus a Chord Track for viewing and editing chords, and a Drum Metronome with over 75 grooves. Registration unlocks 16 tracks, with an in-app purchase expanding to 32 tracks alongside all Fender amps and effects.

What happens to PreSonus?

All existing PreSonus customers transition to the new MyFender platform, replacing MyPreSonus while continuing to serve the wider Fender customer base. The PreSonus brand remains active, focusing on solutions like Eris Monitors, StudioLive Series III SE Mixers, and Air XD Loudspeakers, with full support and updates continuing for existing customers.
