More affordable options to unleash your creativity
ESI has unveiled two new audio interfaces to be kinder on the wallets, the Neva Uno and the Neva Duo.

Connectivity for the Neva Uno includes a single mic preamp with phantom power, with line-level signal also being accepted with an XLR/TRS combo. There is an additional line-level / Hi-Z instrument input with a ¼” TRS connector.
Two inputs accept mic, line-level, and instrument signals on the Duo, all can be connected through a pair of XLR/TRS combo sockets. A button on the top panel allows users to select the appropriate source.
Each device has a pair of line-level outs, with RCA connectors on the Uno and ¼” TRS connectors (balanced and unbalanced) for the Duo, while both have a headphone output.
Adorning the top panel on each interface is an input gain control, separate headphone and main output level controls, as well as zero-latency monitoring capabilities via the ‘Direct’ button and phantom power.
Each 24-bit / 192kHz interface is specified with a dynamic range of 97dB (A-weighted) for the A-D converters, and 107dB (A-weighted) for the D-A converters, while up to 50dB of gain is available through the XLR mic inputs.
Both units are bus-powered via USB-C and are supplied with a software bundle that includes Bitwig Studio 8-Track with the Bitwig Essentials Package, offering eight tracks of audio and MIDI recording and sequencing along with a selection of presets and sounds.
Steinberg’s WaveLab LE is also included, providing a simple solution to editing and mastering, while Cubasis LE offers a recording, editing, and mixing solution for iPhone and iPad users. Lastly, inTone 2 ESI Edition from Audified offers multi-track playback and mixing facilities, as well as the ability to act as an effects host for the included GK Amplification 2 LE and ampLion Free bass and guitar amp simulators.
