Available in an ebony colourway only, this new addition to the Dave Mustaine collection is the first 24-fret neck installed on a Gibson acoustic guitar. This acoustic is available as a standard version, as well as a limited-edition model that is signed by the artist.
The Dave Mustaine Songwriter boasts a walnut Songwriter body that is built slightly thinner than most acoustic builds with a cutaway to allow for easy access to the upper frets. With a mahogany neck, this guitar also features an ebony fretboard that stands at a staggering 24.75”.
Also included are mother of pearl teeth inlays, Grover Rotomatic tuners, and a higher output LR Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls.
Artwork of Vic Rattlehead, the illustrated mascot of Megadeth, can be seen on the pickguard, as well as the mother of pearl peghead inlay.
In an exclusive run featuring only 100 guitars, the limited-edition Dave Mustaine Songwriter will include a certificate of authenticity and a Dave Mustaine hand-signed soundhole label.
For both editions, a custom hardshell case is included.
