Catch up on all the latest news here.
The main new feature is 360 Reality Audio support, which allows you to position sounds around the listener in three-dimensional space – above, below, and on all sides. Built on Sony’s object-based spatial technology, it operates directly within Pro Tools sessions without requiring a workflow switch.
Converting from Dolby Atmos to 360 Reality Audio is straightforward, with stems and settings that will automatically carry over. Mix and edit in both formats within the same session. Pro Tools Studio and Ultimate subscribers, plus perpetual licence holders with current support plans, get limited versions of the Audio Futures WalkMix Panner and 360RA WalkMix Renderer included.
“By integrating Sony’s 360 Reality Audio directly into the Pro Tools environment, artists and producers can now explore new creative dimensions – all without switching out of their trusted workflow,” says Chris Winsor, Director of Pro Tools Product Management at Avid.
SoundFlow integration is a a big time-saver. All Pro Tools users will now get access to 1,700+ free prebuilt macros that automate repetitive tasks like bouncing stems, creating tracks and navigating complex sessions. Premium SoundFlow subscribers unlock deeper functionality, including their full macro library, Flows, and an AI-powered Session Assistant that handles complex tasks through simple commands.
A new Learn tab offers interactive tutorials covering audio recording, MIDI editing and UI navigation, making Pro Tools easier to pick up for newcomers.
Six new Inner Circle Rewards are available to annual subscribers and perpetual customers on active upgrade plans: Acon Digital Verberate 2, Acon Digital DeBleed: Snare, Nightfox Audio Rendition Lite, and three Leap Expansions for Kontakt Player.
Other updates include speech-to-text improvements with offline and batch transcription, UI customisation, Dark Mode support and MIDI workflow optimisations.
Pro Tools 2025.10 is available now to all Pro Tools Artist, Studio and Ultimate subscribers, perpetual licence holders on active plans, and Pro Tools Intro users.
