The Arturia KeyLab Essential Mk3 is a keyboard controller that promises to seamlessly integrate with DAW projects.

Arturia has officially unveiled the KeyLab Essential Mk3, a keyboard controller that promises seamless integration with DAW projects, intuitive controls, creative features, and a comprehensive software bundle. Available in 49 and 61-note configurations, with black or white finishes, the KeyLab Essential Mk3 boasts a velocity-sensitive keyboard with a hybrid synth-piano feel. Its control inputs include encoders, faders, and pads, along with a large 2.5-inch LCD display, contextual buttons, and two multi-purpose pad banks. The controller connects to a computer via USB-C and can be powered through this connection, while also featuring a MIDI 5-pin DIN output and a control input for pedals to enable sustain, expression, or footswitch functionality.

Designed to seamlessly integrate with various DAWs and Arturia software, the KeyLab Essential Mk3 offers custom DAW scripts for popular software such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase, and Bitwig Studio. Furthermore, it provides enhanced compatibility with Arturia’s own software suite, including Analog Lab and V Collection.

In terms of creative features, the KeyLab Essential Mk3 incorporates a built-in multi-mode arpeggiator, chord play functionality, scale mode for precise tuning, and customisable pedal functions, providing musicians with a range of options to explore their creativity.
