From packing to self care
Festival season is well and truly upon us with some pretty stacked lineups drawing some huge crowds across the nation. Aussie dance producer Luude has been unbelievably busy hitting festivals worldwide including Leeds and Reading, as well as the recent Festival X.

Surviving a rigorous touring schedule can be hellish for many, so here are Luude’s hot tips for getting by as unscathed as possible.
1) USB’s USB’s USB’s USB’s
I’m absolutely useless when it comes to this – so had to learn the hard way, you are literally in and out of planes, hotel rooms, after parties, kitchens, and USB’s always go missing. Have to make them part of the ‘phone, wallet, keys, USB’s’ check whenever you leave any spot.

2) If the flight attendant offers you water, take it
Pretty self explanatory really, it’s easy to dry yourself out like a prune – when you can get some water in, do it.
3) Learn to sleep anywhere
Before those plane wheels leave the ground you wanna be gone – it will add five years to your life at least.

4) Get a good pair of headphones
If you are a DJ these are obviously pretty important, I still manage to forget and lose mine every third gig – but you do want to get a good solid pair that can be thrown in the bottom of a backpack and not snap in half.
5) Travel light, pack smart
Especially in the last year, airlines have been a nightmare losing bags – if you are traveling for the weekend domestically you wanna always just go carry on, if you have to pack checked luggage, try to keep the essentials on your carry on. Obviously way easier as a DJ than doing anything live.
