Bulk updating is the the core of the update. Where the software previously worked through devices one at a time, waiting for each to finish before moving to the next, it can now update several at once, so a full rig will be up to date in a fraction of the time. For engineers running large systems, it’s a handy feature to speed up the process before doors. Each device now holds 20 preset slots, giving more flexibility for saving tunings across different rooms, sources or events. The update also widens the software’s reach with extra language support, adding French, Italian, Norwegian and Swedish.
LINEAR 5 MK2 owners get a couple of specific improvements, including the increasing the maximum delay time to 50 ms – handy for lining up speakers across bigger spaces.
“We are always trying to enhance and improve the software that the HK Audio family rely on every day, and the 4.2 release of DSP CONTROL is a good example of this,” said Stephan Kuczera, Product Manager for Live Sound at HK Audio. “These upgrades have been driven by customer requests and should make life easier for audio professionals all over the world.”
Made in Germany and running since 1979, HK Audio has built its name on live and installed sound across Europe.
