Fender has launched the 75th Anniversary Telecaster Collection, a five-model limited edition range celebrating three-quarters of a century of one of the most influential electric guitar designs ever made.

75 years on, the Telecaster is still one of the most influential guitars of modern music, and Fender is celebrating it accordingly. Leo Fender built the Tele from the ground up on direct feedback from working musicians, the result being a guitar with cutting tone, an unmistakable silhouette and the kind of reliability that keeps players coming back decade after decade. The 75th Anniversary Telecaster Collection spans the full breadth of that history.

Catch up on all the latest news here.

The Tele’s influence is hard to overstate. James Burton’s slashing leads in the 1950s, Buck Owens bringing Tele twang to the mainstream, George Harrison, Joe Strummer, Jonny Greenwood, Chrissie Hynde, Tom Morello, Sheryl Crow and Brad Paisley – the list of artists who’ve made the Telecaster their instrument reads like a history of modern music itself. “The Telecaster is like the heart and soul of rock and roll music,” said Mike Campbell.

“The Telecaster is more than a guitar – it’s the backbone of modern music, and 75 years later it continues to inspire players in ways Leo Fender could have only imagined. From the vintage authenticity of the Vintera Road Worn to the boundary-pushing versatility of the American Ultra II, each model reflects the full spectrum of what the Telecaster has meant to generations of players,” said Fender’s Chief Product Officer Max Gutnik.

The five models in the collection are:

75th Anniversary Vintera Road Worn 1951 Telecaster
The vintage purist’s pick. A swamp ash body, early-’50s “U”-shape neck and Road Worn nitrocellulose finish aged to look like it’s already lived a life. The 7.25″ radius maple fingerboard and vintage-tall frets keep the playing feel authentic, while Pure Vintage 1951 pickups deliver the crystal-clear chime, raw steely twang and three-saddle bridge with barrel brass saddles that started it all. For players who want the closest thing to the original, this is the one.

75th Anniversary American Ultra II Telecaster
The most forward-looking of the five. An alder body finished in Liquid Gold, a quartersawn maple neck with Modern “D” profile, and an ebony compound radius fingerboard with Ultra rolled edges, Luminlay side dots and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut. The pickup configuration pairs a 75th Anniversary Noiseless Single-Coil at the neck with a Fastlane humbucker at the bridge, with dual S-1 switches unlocking series and series/parallel modes for a tonal range well beyond what a standard Tele offers. Locking tuners and a six-saddle string-through bridge round it out.

75th Anniversary American Professional Custom Telecaster
An upmarket take on the classic Custom Tele, with a resonant alder body topped with a flame maple cap, elegant double binding and a classic 2-Colour Sunburst finish. The Deep “C” maple neck with 9.5″ radius fingerboard and medium jumbo frets keeps things fast and comfortable, while the 75th Anniversary V-Mod pickups cover crystal bridge twang through to warm neck tones. A push/push pot engages series wiring for added output and tonal variety, and gold hardware throughout gives the whole package a premium feel.

75th Anniversary American Professional Classic Cabronita Telecaster
TV Jones pickups in both the neck and bridge positions give this one exceptional depth, punch and sparkle – a noticeably different flavour from the rest of the collection. A Modern “C” maple neck, 9.5″ radius fingerboard and pearloid button tuners lend it a vintage-leaning aesthetic that suits the sound, and it’s available in a range of vibrant signature Fender finishes.

75th Anniversary Player II Telecaster
The accessible entry point to the collection and the one most likely to turn heads under stage lights, finished in Diamond Dust Sparkle. The Modern “C” maple neck sits over a 9.5″ radius rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges and medium jumbo frets, while 75th Anniversary Thunderbolt pickups deliver rich, punchy tone with clarity to spare. A six-saddle string-through bridge, ClassicGear tuning machines and a four-ply pearloid pickguard complete the look.

Alongside the collection, Fender has launched Artist Talk Tele – a series of short-form interviews with players across genres who’ve made the Telecaster their own. Already underway, the series has featured early moments with Sheryl Crow and Mike Campbell, with full episodes and additional artists rolling out throughout 2026. John 5, Gina Gleason, Joe Bonamassa, Jim Root and Kingfish are all confirmed, with more to be announced.

The 75th Anniversary Telecaster Collection is available now through authorised Fender dealers and at fender.com.
