This marks one of the most significant collaborations in Neural DSP’s Archetype series, capturing the touch-sensitive, expressive tone that’s defined Mayer’s work across two decades of recordings and performances.

At the core of the plugin sit three amplifiers modelled from Mayer’s personal units: his 1964 Fender Vibroverb, his revered Dumble Steel String Singer #002, and his unique Two-Rock prototype Signature #83.
Each amp was captured with exceptional detail to preserve its headroom, responsiveness, and harmonic structure exactly as Mayer uses them. Beyond the individual amps, the plugin introduces a Three-in-One Amp configuration that merges all three amplifiers with Mayer’s exact settings, mic placements, and EQ decisions—recreating his blended studio and live sound in a single, unified tool.
The effects chain reflects John Mayer’s Continuum-era signal path, with each pedal modelled from his actual units and arranged in his preferred order. From the Keeley Katana-inspired clean boost to the Klon Centaur overdrive and the expressive Electro-Harmonix Q-Tron+ envelope filter, every element maintains the touch dynamics and tonal character that makes Mayer’s playing so recognisable. The Gravity Tank—named after his song “Gravity”—combines his favourite spring reverb with the harmonic tremolo from his Victoria Reverberato, delivering the atmospheric movement heard throughout his discography.
