Arturia has released the MiniFuse 2 OTG, a portable dual USB audio interface designed for creators who need flexibility across multiple devices. The OTG feature is the headline addition here, allowing mobile recording and streaming sessions powered entirely by bus power from your device. For content creators working across multiple platforms or musicians who want to capture their ideas wherever inspiration strikes, the ability to plug straight into a phone or tablet removes a significant barrier to entry.
Beyond mobile connectivity, the MiniFuse 2 OTG maintains full compatibility with PC and Mac systems via its USB-C interface, adhering to USB 2.0 standards. The dual USB design enables audio routing between two computers simultaneously, which opens up interesting possibilities for multi-machine setups or sharing audio between different systems during collaborative sessions.
Physical I/O includes one combo XLR input handling mic, instrument, and line-level signals with switchable 48V phantom power for condenser microphones. Two balanced quarter-inch TRS outputs provide monitoring options, while a dedicated stereo headphone output with independent volume control rounds out the monitoring section. An additional USB Type-A hub port (250mA maximum) accommodates peripherals like MIDI controllers or external storage.
Virtual loopback channels add streaming functionality without external routing. Mac and PC users get one stereo loopback channel, while Windows users gain three stereo channels, each with independent mixer control for more complex audio routing scenarios. Audio management runs through the MiniFuse Control Centre software, providing oversight of signal flow across connected devices.
Arturia has bundled a substantial software package with the interface. Production tools include Ableton Live Lite, Steinberg Cubase LE, and Analog Lab Intro, while Autotune Unlimited handles vocal processing duties. Izotope VEA and Hindenburg Pro cover editing requirements for voice work and podcasting. Four Arturia effects plugins and a Splice Creator Plan subscription complete the bundle, alongside access to various sample libraries and educational content.
The MiniFuse 2 OTG targets a broad user base spanning mobile musicians, live streamers, podcasters, and content creators who need reliable audio capture across different devices. Its compact form factor and bus-powered operation make it viable for location recording, while the dual USB architecture accommodates more complex studio configurations.
