German audio company Beyerdynamic's latest addition to its PRO range prioritises accessibility without compromising on performance.

Beyerdynamic has just announced the DT 270 PRO, their latest addition to the legendary PRO headphone lineup, and it’s designed for exactly what the title suggests: creators who need professional monitoring in smaller spaces or while on the move.

Catch up on all the latest news here.

For over a century, Beyerdynamic has been the name musicians, engineers, and studio professionals turn to when accuracy matters. The DT 270 PRO continues that legacy, but in a lighter, more flexible format that doesn’t ask you to sacrifice sound quality. What you’ll get is balanced, detailed monitoring with clear highs, defined mids, and clean bass – perfect for tracking, mixing, and critical listening.

At just 194 grams, these sit comfortably for extended sessions without feeling like a headache (literally). The 45-ohm impedance means they’ll perform consistently whether you’re plugging into a laptop, tablet, smartphone, or audio interface, making them genuinely flexible for home recording, podcast work, music lessons, or even videography projects. They’re versatile, practical, and designed for real workflows.

With soft velour ear pads and a padded headband to keep things secure, comfort is a priority here. Spring-steel reinforcement in the headband and high-grade plastic housing means that these will survive daily life at home, in the studio or wherever else you’re working. The detachable coiled cable connects to either ear cup, and you’ll get a USB-C 3.5 mm adapter in the box for modern mobile devices.

Beyerdynamic’s expertise is rooted in German engineering and precision craftsmanship – most of their products are still designed and handmade in Heilbronn. The DT 270 PRO brings that same philosophy to a more accessible, compact offering.
