TC Electronic launches intuitive Ditto Jam X2 Looper

Using Built-In Microphones to Follow Onstage Tempo Changes

If you've ever attempted to use a loop pedal with a band in a live setting, you'll know just how hard it is to keep everything in time - things can get pretty messy after you've knocked back half of your rider and still expect your humble looper to keep up with your blunders.

Luckily, TC Electronic has the perfect solution to live looping with the new Ditto Jam X2, featuring an intuitive internal system to keep your loops in time and adjust everything accordingly if needed. Rather than using painful MIDI clocks or click tracks, the Ditto Jam X2 makes use of two onboard microphones to follow the rhythmic elements of a live ensemble and adjust to changes in tempo or groove, with TC's BeatSense technology allowing for the tempo of the loop to be stretched or shortened without comprising sound quality. The Ditto Jam X2 also comes with an additional clip-on microphone to attach to percussion instruments, offering an even tighter rhythmic experience when looping onstage.

As well as being an intuitive live looping solution, the Ditto Jam X2 also bills itself as the perfect practice tool, boasting a practice mode which allows guitarists to record a loop slowly and speed it up gradually with the use of the onboard tap-tempo footswitch. Better yet, the Ditto Jam X2 isn't the size of a damn brick, and won't take up too much real estate on your pedalboard - we can't wait to get our hands on it.
