Phoebe Bridgers shares new single 'Garden Song'

Try Hard Not To Cry

New wave emo sensation Phoebe Bridgers has has returned with her first solo single in years, the tear-jerking 'Garden Song'.

Recorded with her Stranger In The Alps collaborators Tony Berg and Ethan Gruska at Sound City Studios in Calfornia, 'Garden Song' stays true to the Phoebe Bridgers forumla - expect hushed guitars, passionate vocals, a pulsing rhythm and an enveloping sense of melancholy. It's also accompanied by a surreal music video directed by her brother Jackson Bridgers, which sees Bridgers pull a cone and experience a whacky series of events featuring furry monsters and Tig Norato donning a monk's costume. Check it out below.

Bridgers is gearing up to visit Australia next month to support The National on the Australian leg of their I Am Easy To Find world tour. She's also spent the last 18 months releasing a bunch of critically acclaimed projects, including the boygenius collaboration with Lucy Daccus and Julien Baker and her Better Oblivion Community Center duo with Connor Oberset. Surely this means we're copping a new solo record soon...

Listen to 'Garden Song' here, and make sure you reacquaint yourself with The National's tour dates.
