Australian ticketing agency Oztix have today announced the acquisition of event technology platform PleezPay, as well as a significant staff change to drive the company's success further in Australia.
Simon Docherty, commercial manager of PleezPay, commented on Oztix's acquisition of the service, which has been operating in Australia for six years, expressing his excitement at the prospect of further developments between the two companies.
“I was delighted that Oztix was able to purchase the PleezPay platform and be the ones to take PleezPay to its next stage. The experience, marketing expertise, and security of Oztix is a real positive for the continuing growth of PleezPay," Docherty said.
"I've always admired the business the Oztix team has built in the competitive environment of event ticketing, as well as the overall company culture that is an integral element of their success. I’m looking forward to the PleezPay platform being a key part of the Oztix family into the future."
In addition to announcing the acquisition of PleezPay, Oztix has detailed several major internal staffing changes, including the appointment of Steve Tassone as General Manager, Jim Cunningham as National Operations Manager, Amy GAtes as NSW and ACT business development manager and Dave McCarthy as Digital Campaign Specialist.
In response to the staffing change, which the company deemed essential to its changing business strategy, Steve Tassone stated "It’s hard to describe the excitement I feel about Oztix and its immense potential."
