At the Musikmesse conference in Frankfurt Arturia have announced the release of two new budget conscious additions to their range of KeyLab controllers. The KeyLab Essential series boils things down to the nitty gritty while still retaining the elements that make these models incredible.
Both the 49 and 61 note versions of these controllers come with velocity sensitive keyboards, pitchbend/modulation wheels, eight RGB backlit performance pads, nine faders and nine rotaries. Also featured is a DAW ‘command centre’ and transport section, wherein you can also save a set of DAW mappings for easy memory recall.
The KeyLab Essentials also come with a copy of the Analog Lab 2 software, which is controlled via the keyboard and contains more than 5,000 sounds from Arturia’s catalogue of virtual instruments. Also included is Ableton Live Lite and the UVI Grand Piano Model D.
Arturia are distributed in Australia through CMI Music & Audio.
