Marketing Manager (Australian Artists) – Sony Music

Sony Music is seeking a creative, passionate and enthusiastic marketing manager to join their Australian artists marketing division based in East Sydney. Reporting to the Senior Director, Australian Artists Marketing, you will be responsible for the creation and implementation of marketing strategies across a broad range of Sony Music’s leading Australian artist roster.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Create and implement creative and unique marketing campaigns for a roster of artists across a range of genres
  • Execute and monitor marketing objectives, strategies, advertising and promotions for all releases
  • Analyse social, lifestyle and market trends for exploitation
  • Support the roll out of local marketing tools, including artist imagery, videos and other online content
  • Foster relationships with artists, management and other stakeholders
  • Assist in the analysis of marketing strategy effectiveness
  • Regularly communicate with the promotions, publicity, sales and digital divisions to ensure the effective execution of marketing plans.

 

Skills/experience required:

  • 4 to 5 years experience in marketing within the entertainment industry. Experience in artist management is a positive
  • Proven creative brilliance in the creation and execution of marketing campaigns
  • Solid understanding of the local and international music landscape across a wide range of genres
  • Passion and dedication to the music industry and development of artists
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded

Touring Co-ordinator – Unify Presents 

UNIFIED’s newly created Touring Department, UNIFY Presents, was launched in 2016 and already boasts successful tours by artists like Bring Me The Horizon, Slipknot, The Amity Affliction, A Day To Remember, Northlane and many more. As the department expands, UNIFIED is looking to hire a co-ordinator (Melbourne) to help operate its tours and build the brand awareness and social media strategy. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative, logistical and organisational support to the Touring department
  • Keeping Social Media and Websites updated 
  • Planning and execution of marketing strategies for tours 
  • Providing on site and behind the scenes support for on ground initiatives involving touring artists

 

The applicant must have social media know how, a passion for music and have an eye for detail. The applicant must also have an understanding of operating in a structured environment; that is you must understand deadlines, budgeting and strategic planning. An ability to communicate effectively via email and in person, reliability and a strong work ethic are essential. Strong grammar, knowledge of email etiquette and refined communication skills are imperative to the job.

Skills/experience required:

  • Experience working across a variety of formats and the ability to understand, write and read for the different audiences of GOLD104.3 and KIIS101.1 – even within the same shift!
  • Experience using NewsBoss is preferable and availability to work weekends.
