Last week marked the 50th anniversary of Black Sabbath's legendary self-titled debut, which in turn also acknowledges the birth of heavy metal and arguably some of the best riffs to ever exist. To commemorate the occasion, Gibson sat down with the band's seminal guitarist Tony Iommi to film an hour long segment reflecting on the band's early years and impact upon the music world.
The interview, which takes place in a medieval scenario (because of course it does), sees Iommi reflect on his musical origins and inspirations, as well as his youth in Birmingham. He also dives into his iconic playing style and infamously filthy tone, making for a history lesson for the ages, so pour yourself a beverage and lock yourself in for an hour of iconic content.
