Following in the footprints of other powerful stompboxes from the folks at Walrus Audio, the Slö Multi Texture Reverb offers users three distinctive effects algorithms to choose from to create dense, ambient textures on the fly.
Dark mode provides a blendable lower octave function to beef up chords and single note passages, while Rise mode delivers soaring auto-swells suitable for the dynamic soundscaper. For something totally different, there’s also Dream mode, which features a latching function controlled by the Sustain footswitch to create atmospheric frozen sounds – if you’re a fan of Brian Eno, you’ll lose it for this feature.
The Walrus Audio Slö Multi Texture also offers an intuitive secondary toggle switch function to let players choose between different Sine, Warp and Sink wave shapes for the pedal’s modulation function. The pedal also provides further control over the modulation speed via the depth knob of the pedal when combined with the bypass footswitch, resulting in a powerful device for even the most finicky of ambient musicians.
