Vampire Weekend reveal details of new album Father of the Bride

The new record, which features minimalist cover art depicting an illustration of the Earth and a prominent appearance from the Sony Music logo, is slated for release on Friday 3 May, and features production credits from former member Rotsam Batmanglij and Ariel Rechtshaid. Father Of The Bride is also said to be a double album, with an estimated 18 songs clocking in at just under an hour.

In addition to revealing the details and album cover for Father of the Bride, Vampire Weekend have also shared two new tracks – the acoustic strum and slide fest of ‘Big Blue,’ and ‘Sunflower,’ a scale-hopping scat-heavy ditty featuring The Internet’s Steve Lacy. Listen to both tracks below.
