Melbourne space-funk cosmonauts Mildlife have shared details of their forthcoming album Automatic, which arrives later this September.
The four-piece, who favour vintage gear and analogue production methods, will release Automatic on Friday September 18 via Inertia Music. The new album is slated to be Mildlife's most danceable effort to date, with the band honing in on their chops to make some of their most immersive jams to date.
The group have also shared the lead single from the project 'Rare Air', featuring squelchy synth sequences and a driving cosmic groove. Mildlife described the new single in a statement released today as being about “longing for clarity in the suffocating grip of everyday tedium. Wondering what life could or will be, but trying to be present despite the temptation to endlessly pontificate every decision.”
A statement from Inertia Music has also detailed that the upcoming vinyl edition of Automatic will boast a special locked groove to play the final track on an infinite loop, making it perfect for DJs and vibed-out stoners alike.
