Introducing Fender's New Flame Maple Top Stratocaster

Fancier Than Your Average Strat

Fender has announced the lavish Flame Maple Top Stratocaster as the first model of their new Rarities series.

This classic American guitar features a two-piece alder body with a flame maple Golden Brown top and a solid rosewood neck, capped with a flame maple fingerboard. The neck is a 'Modern C' profile with a 9.5"-14" compound radius - pretty flat and suited to modern playing styles. It also features Fender's modern two-point tremolo system.

This model comes with Pure Vintage '65 Stat pickups and a custom-wound DoubleTap bridge pickup, all wired via a 5-way switch. The guitar also features the Fender S-1 switch incorporated into the Volume pot.

The S1 switching incorporates the DoubleTap technology, which switches from a straight, full-on humbucking voice to a single coil sound Fender have described as 'powerful', adding versatility to the guitar, and suiting players after a bit more 'poke' in their bridge position.
