Great Gable announce debut album Tracing Faces

Recorded with Corby and Alex Heriksson at Byron Bay’s Music Farm StudiosTracing Faces sees the Bunbury rockers embellish their classic sound with a slick modern sheen, making for their most captivating and colourful effort to date. It marks a huge moment for Great Gable, who have grown to be known as one of the hardest working Western Australian live acts of the past five years, capturing their chemistry on tape like never before.

The announcement is accompanied by the release of new single ‘Blur’, which sees Great Gable toying with influences from Krautrock and neo-psychedelia to reflect the grind of life on the road. “The song is about how touring has its ups and downs. The constant travel can be exhausting but playing the shows makes it all worth it,” says frontman Alex Whiteman.

Great Gable have also released a new video for ‘Blur’, which was shot, directed and produced by Great Gable in a matter of hours to win a challenge set by their management. “Our manager set us a challenge to plan, record, and then edit a full music video within a typical work day of eight hours,” guitarist Matt Preen said. “We did it in five. As you can see, we took it very seriously and are considering taking jobs in the film industry.”

Tracing Faces, the new album from Great Gable, arrives on Friday August 7 via ADA Worldwide.
