Grammy Award winning bluesman Ben Harper has released his first slice of music for 2020 with the new single 'Don't Let Me Disappear'.
Imbued with tones of loneliness and anxiety, 'Don't Let Me Disappear' sees Harper accompanied by a lush string section to make for a dirgey ballad of tear-jerking proportions. Harper discussed the new tune in a statement today, saying “‘Don’t Let Me Disappear’ is about the fine line between loneliness, isolation and invisibility, to where you can’t seem to find a way not to be hiding in plain sight."
The new single is also paired with a video directed by Kirstin Sudeikis and Gabriel Judet-Weinshel, which you can watch below. Harper visited Australia last year to play a headline set at Byron Bay Bluesfest. Recently, he helped produce and co-write soul legend Mavis Staples' twelfth full-length album We Get By.
