Common certainly is a man of all trades. In the span of his whopping 22-year-long career the musician has received four Grammy’s, his most recent being awarded for ‘Best Song Written for Visual Media’ in light of his 2016 release, ‘Glory’. If his trophy cabinet wasn’t already the stuff of envy, the artist and actor just picked up an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for the same song, which appeared on the last year’s critically acclaimed feature film Selma. Suffice to say, Common’s really at the top of his game.
Supporting Common on the four date tour is Brooklyn’s Talib Kweli. Known for his politically insightful and socially aware lyricism, Kweli will finally be sharing his extensive discography with Australian audiences.
