The abstract group are part of the the Melbourne based label Wondercore Island and this is a family affair, with the song itself mixed by Hiatus Kaiyote’s Paul Bender and the video produced by label boss Si Jay Gould. The video is also notable for not only featuring friends HTMLflowers, Cosi Jaala from Jaala and Sex on Toast’s Angus Leslie, but also somehow the US comedian Hannibal Buress.
It’s an unusual scene but what really makes it is the song itself, which is a cool slice of pop music and, unusually for the band, also follows a fairly traditionally structure. Check it out below and then be sure to grab yourself a download from their Bandcamp.
