An overhaul of the popular multi-effects unit is inbound.
Following on from the unprecedented success of their HX Stomp – a nifty, compact multi-effects that’s won the guitar market over with its versatile tones and tiny footprint – Line 6 have doubled down and debuted the HX Stomp XL.

Offering itself as a revamped, expanded version of the popular 2018 unit, the HX Stomp XL makes use of a longer chassis with more controls to make it all the more malleable for onstage use. There’s four assignable footswitches – A, B, C and D – to engage tone presets, while additional Up, Down, Mode and Tap switches let you assume further control over the unit.
Making good use of Line 6’s powerful SHARC DSP engine, the HX Stomp XL offers up more than 300 quality amps, cabinets and effects, and lets you run up to eight processing blocks simultaneously. 128 presets let you dive into the unit and start tweaking away, and there’s also a bunch of templates to suit different routing and recording options.
Users will also be stoked to find that the Stomp XL even caters for bassists by providing a range of top-notch amps and cabinets to choose from, making it a tonal Swiss Army knife for any budget-savvy multi-instrumentalist out there.
Like its pint-sized sibling, the Line 6 HX Stomp XL features stereo inputs and outputs, plus an effects loop, expression pedal and headphone inputs, MIDI I/O and a multi-channel 24-bit/96kHz USB audio interface to streamline your bedroom recordings.
