75 years of Fender

Back in 1946, a little company by the name of the Fender Electric Instrument Company was started by Leo Fender in Fullerton, California.

Over the course of the next few decades, the company would go on to change musical performance and production forever with their range of electric guitars, basses, amplifiers and other instruments, many of which would be deemed responsible for the evolution of contemporary music culture as we know it today.

Fast forward 75 years to 2021, and it’s obvious Fender’s influence upon music is just as strong – if not stronger – than it was back in their golden era of Fullerton production. With such an important milestone comes the need to celebrate in style, and to do that, Fender have unveiled an array of Diamond 75th Anniversary and 75th Anniversary Commemorative Series models to commemorate 75 years at the top of the game.

Fender Diamond 75th Anniversary

For those looking to celebrate the occasion without blowing the budget, Fender have launched the Diamond 75th Anniversary range; consisting of a Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision and Jazz Bass. These models, made in Ensenada, Mexico, feature unique sparkling Diamond Anniversary finishes with matching headstocks, as well as tried-and-true appointments such as C-shaped satin-finished maple necks, maple fretboards and alder bodies.

Each model is loaded with a set of vintage-style single-coil pickups for that classic Fender tones and features a 75th Anniversary engraved neck-plate, with a deluxe gig-bag also being included.

Fender 75th Anniversary Commemorative Range

In addition to the Mexican-made range, Fender have also crafted a range of American Commemorative Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision and Jazz Bass models, providing premium specs and playability to uphold their trailblazing legacy.

Each guitar boasts a resonant ash body and a custom Two-Tone Bourbon Burst finish, and are loaded with Custom Shop pickups for crystalline tones that carry all the nuances of Fender’s golden era models.

The Commemorative Stratocaster and Telecaster are each fitted with a Deep-C maple neck with rolled fingerboard edges, while the Precision and Jazz Bass feature a ’63 neck profile and Slim-C profile respectively. Additionally, the Jazz Bass boasts a rosewood fretboard, with the Stratocaster, Telecaster and Precision Bass each featuring a traditional maple cap.

Other custom appointments include a two-point tremolo with cold-rolled steel block for the Stratocaster and pearloid tuning buttons for the Stratocaster and Telecaster, with each instrument also being decked out with deluxe gold hardware and anniversary badging. They’re also shipped in a custom Inca Silver molded hardshell case with a plush Lake Placid Blue interior to reaffirm their status as collector’s items.
