The Super Duper Concert Bass Mod is a dual-footswitch pedal, designed to mimic the amp’s distinct distortion and low end that proved immensely popular with guitarists and bassists searching for a downtuned, primal sound.
ZVex has retained the famous low-end from the amp through careful voicing of the pedal’s input and output capacitors. It pays further tribute to the solid-state amp — which inspired the band name for experimental metal masterminds Sunn O))) — by selecting transistors which, according to ZVex, “give the instruments sharp teeth while still sounding organic.”
