Guitarist Tyler Bussey and vocalist David Bello wrote the song’s lyrics together, confronting their experiences with mental health issues, its weight and strain, and the value in getting help. TWIABP is a band that prides itself on personal expression and discovery and, as such, this new track captures them at their intimate and gut-wrenching best.
Their first full-length album, 2013’s Whenever, If Ever, warranted outward praise from the likes of Pitchfork, and laid the foundation for their distinctive sound, combining densely layered guitars, synthesizer, cello, and trumpet. Based on what we’ve heard so far, Homelessness promises to be another emotionally-driven, instrumentally-rich undertaking from the US outfit.
