Watch Tame Impala perform live for NPR Tiny Desk

Beaming live and direct from Kevin Parker's own studio

Tame Impala have taken to the studio to film a remote session for NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series, performing a number of tracks released in the promotional cycle for The Slow Rush.

The session, which was also filmed and mixed by members of Pond, sees Parker and core live members Jay Watson and Dominic Simper perform stripped-down versions of 'Breathe Deeper', 'Is It True' and promotional single 'Patience', utilising an array of mixers, sequencers, synths and drum machines to do so.

It's always fascinating seeing how groups change their live setup for these stripped back performances - here, the lack of a live rhythm section results in 'Breathe Deeper' taking on a much more Balearic vibe, and the bass sequence at the end totally takes it up a notch in a live setting.

Give Tame Impala's Tiny Desk a spin below.

Dominic Simper recently released his debut solo EP unfolding - we spoke to him about it here.
