Indie pioneers The Strokes have teased fans at a recent charity show in Los Angeles with the performance of a new, unreleased song called 'The Adults Are Talking.'
Revolving around a stock-standard driving bass groove and a preppy, angular riff via guitarist Albert Hammond Jr., 'The Adults Are Talking' also sees vocalist Julian Casablancas stretch his range to playful new heights in the latter half of the track. It's a fine return for the New York indie stars, who are set to embark on a string of headlining festival shows in the Northern Hemisphere shows in the coming months.
Elsewhere throughout their charity show at LA's The Wiltern, the band dug deep into their back catalogue to play deep cuts 'Ize Of The World' and 'The Way It Is,' marking the first performances of the tracks in over a decade, as well as covering Erasure's 'A Little Respect.'
